WELCOMING REV. DEACON JOHN CONNER

The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation announces that it has called the Reverend John W. Conner of Newtown to serve as its new Deacon in Charge.

John grew up in Newtown and is a 2012 graduate of Council Rock High School North. He attended Penn State and graduated with a BA in English Literature in 2016. Before he went to college John worshipped at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Yardley with his family, and during his college years was an active member of St. Andrews Church in State College and St. Clement's Church in Philadelphia.

John attended Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Nashotah, Wisconsin from 2018 to 2021, and graduated with a cum laude Master of Divinity this spring.

The Church of the Incarnation will be John's first post as a member of the ordained clergy. He will begin his ministry at Incarnation following his ordination as a Transitional Deacon on September 18 at the Episcopal Cathedral in Philadelphia. John is expected to be ordained as a priest roughly six months after his ordination as a Deacon. He will begin serving at Incarnation as Deacon in Charge, and will become Priest in Charge following his ordination as a priest.

The future Rev. Conner's first service will be at Incarnation on Sunday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m.
